Trial application privacy notice

This notice only covers the information you give us when applying for the LUNA7 private trial. LUNA7 is still in private development, so this notice may be updated before general launch.

What we collect

When you apply, we collect your name, email, organisation and, if you choose to provide it, your role. You can also tell us what you would want to test LUNA7 on.

To help prevent spam and abuse, we also keep a salted, one-way hash of your IP address and your browser user-agent for a short period. We do not store your raw IP address.

Why we collect it

We use this information to review your application and, where appropriate, respond to you about the trial.

Applications are reviewed by a person. We do not use automated decision-making, and applying does not place you into a sales sequence.

Our legal basis

The checkbox on the application form simply confirms that you have read this notice. It is not the legal basis we rely on for processing your information.

We process application details on the basis of our legitimate interest in assessing and responding to requests to join the LUNA7 private trial. We use the limited abuse-prevention data described above on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

We keep this wording under review and will update it if our approach changes. If you want more detail about how or why your information is processed, you can contact us using the details below.

Who can see it

Your application details are used by the LUNA7 team to assess your application.

We do not sell your information or share it for marketing purposes. We use an email service provider to send your confirmation email and to notify us that an application has been submitted. That provider processes information on our behalf.

How long we keep it

Application details are kept while we review your application and are then removed. By default, this will be within around 12 months.

If you withdraw your application, we will remove your personal details promptly and delete the remaining application record shortly afterwards, usually within around one month.

Abuse-prevention hashes are also deleted on a short cycle, usually within around one month.

Your choices

You can check the status of your application, withdraw it, or ask for your details to be deleted at any time using the reference in your confirmation email: Check status or withdraw.

You can also contact us directly if you want to access or delete the information we hold about you.
